Unique Vase
My inspiration of this piece is that I was thinking about doing a flower from google. Then I looked around the classroom, I spotted a vase and started thinking. I thought about making a vase, but I didn't want to make a plain vase. I wanted more details and creativity to it, thats when I decided to make the curves on the vase.
The process I followed to create this piece was to start of with a regular top of the vase. I then added so crazy curves to the sides of the vase as I went down. I then thought about a regular handle on the vase, but I started to think and made curves to it to. The handle is made for comfort for you fingers while carrying it. Then later on in the process, I started looking at the background and it was plain. So I added the back part of the table and decided to have a brick wall.
Neon Sunset
My inspiration into drawing this piece how beautiful nature is and how amazing it could be to make such beautiful colors. I was going to do a more colorful piece, but it looked plain because it was only a palm tree and sunset with a ocean. Then I wanted to go overboard and do this.
The process I took to make this piece was that I used wet on wet first for the background in the sky so he colors could blend in. Second, I did the a wet on dry to make the sky more realistic and the colors darker than before. Third, I did the river and the mountains. Last, I started doing the tree, I=it has to be dark because the sun is behind the tree which makes it look dark.
Tasty Dessert
My inspiration in drawing a chocolate was to be a bit creative. The picture I choose had strawberry icing instead of chocolate, so I wanted to do something different. But as I said in my interpret, I don't like chocolate doughnuts, I love krispy kream doughnuts, glazed.
The process of me drawing this was difficult. I first did an Avocado, then a Strawberry, Cupcake, Grapes, Blueberries. I didn't know what to choose, but I thought about trying a doughnut instead. First, I started with the doughnut hole on the shading and the color of the actual doughnut. Then, I did the chocolate icing and made it pop out and melty looking.
The Woman
My inspiration into making a Cubism piece is because I wanted to try something new. This is my first time doing Cubism, making a piece using only shapes. I loved how Cubism looked and I thought about trying something different and do a well blended background.
The process I went through to get to where I'm at was a lot of work. I started doing my background first and decided to blend some cool colors together. I used pink, blue, and purple to blend because the colors were pretty together and did white to make it look more interesting. Then, I started to put black over it to make the geometric shapes and the woman face. I didn't attend to do it this way because a accidental put a wet brush on my piece and had to go over it with black.
The Dodge
My inspiration to making this piece was just to challenge myself. I choose to do a car because I around the age of 8-9, I remember drawing a car without copying anything. And it turned out pretty good, but if I knew anything about value and did it onto my drawing, it would've looked much better.
The process I went through to get this drawing to where it is now was mapping, adding details, and values. I did the mapping first to be sure that everything is in the right spot to where it's suppose to be and it had to be realistic. Second, I started adding the details to it, such as the headlights. Then last, I started adding value to it so the piece could look more realistic. It's not completed but it looking realistic already.
My inspiration into writing this is to try something a little bit harder from what I did in middle school. In middle school, I did a grid drawing on myself and it did look realistic, but my values and shading was off and you could still see the grid lines. But this year, I decided to challenge myself a little and start doing someone else a bit difficult.
The process I went through to get my drawing looking realistic the way it looks today was a unique process. First, I started mapping out the outlines of the face, nose, mouth, eyebrows, ears, and mainly the eyes. The eyes are more important because that's what mainly catches the audience attention. Second, I started defining some of the values and the shading of the face with cross-hatching. Third, I used cotton to smooth the values to make the face look more realistic. Last, I did the hair using dark pencils to show the darkness of the hair and eraser tip to show the light parts of the hair.
